What are Under-Sink Water Filters & Why Should We Use Them?

An under-sink water filter is a type of a Point-of-Use (POU) filter indicating it is installed at the location where clean water needs to be dispensed regularly for drinking and cooking purposes. Like countertop filters, under-sink can filter large volumes of water. However, instead of cluttering the counter, they utilize space from the cabinet beneath the sink.

They may also require professional plumbing modifications and drilling a hole through the sink or countertop for the dispenser. Under-sink filters treat water directly at the kitchen faucet (if installed underneath the kitchen sink) or refrigerator to provide clean drinking water. Under sink water filtration systems are great solutions to provide cleaner, clearer, and great tasting water for cooking and drinking purposes by reducing a broad spectrum of contaminants that may be present in the finished water supplied by the city.

Under-sink filters offer a good solution to filter water for drinking and cooking purposes. Filters certified to the NSF/ANSI 42 standard effectively remove taste and odor issues whereas water filters certified to the NSF/ANSI 53 standard remove lead and other contaminants.

This article provides a brief overview about the performance and features of the Pentair Everpure H-300 Under-Sink Water Filtration System.
